Ben Rose from Shades of Green Lawn & Garden Maintenance is a structural landscaper based in NSW. He used to employ contractors to do job’s which he wasn’t able to carry out with the equipment he had available. Such as doing retaining walls, backfilling, and digging out material.
Therefore, he was searching for a better option to bring his business forward. Something which was going to be easier to handle and more affordable over time. So, he decided to buy a Kanga Wheeled 6 Series Petrol Mini Loader about 12 month ago.
“It’s been fantastic. The Kanga Loader is paying itself off. It’s incredible to have the machine available that is so convenient and saves my back when digging!” The landscaper bought his machine with a 4in1 bucket and a trailer, which was set-up to carry more attachments than he has initially purchased.
Ben told us, he had planned on purchasing more attachments further down the road. Once he would be able to afford them. And in fact, his business grew and allowed him to add to his collection.
“My business was able to grow over the last few month, so I’ve just purchased a Kanga Power Head with 450mm, 300mm and 150mm augers. As well as a leveller attachment!
All my attachments are great, I use them a lot for turfing, mulching, building retaining walls etc. The whole Kanga trailer set-up is so convenient, and I would definitely recommend it to other businesses in landscaping or lawn care. I can just turn up on site and don’t have to wait on contractors – it makes my business so much more functional.”
The contractors which “Shades of Green Lawn & Garden Maintenance” used to hire used standard size skid steer loaders. This wasn’t really an option for Ben.
“I found their machines couldn’t get into confined spaces – especially around gardens, trees. Which is why I decided to purchase a Kanga, a machine ideal for tight access. What I also like about the Kanga Mini loader is the easy accessibility to service parts (for instance grease nipples) and the general ease of operation.
A bonus for me is, that the machine is green! Perfectly in line with my business colours”.
