Are you struggling with emissions in confined workspaces? Kanga Klean is a mini loader catalytic converter and comes standards in the DT835. It replaces the exhaust system with a ‘cleaner’ option. The technology removes carbon monoxide and is therefore a much healthier option for confined areas or jobs. Especially, where the operator is standing on the machine all day, inhaling the fumes, e.g. working with brooms in an undercover car park.
Kanga Klean is also advantageous for spaces, where air quality control and guidelines need to be considered. An example of such was our operation with a Schibeci loader for concreting, used within Brisbane city airport. The Kanga Klean catalyst converter comes standard in out Schibeci loaders. Why and how we introduced Kanga Loaders’ Klean Catalytic Converter
The “Kanga Klean” program has set the benchmark for best practice in emission control system technology in the industry. It was introduced in 2014. The decision to introduce emissions filtering technology came about following the release of the World Health Organisation report a few years ago. In summary, they had outlined the severe health risks associated with diesel particulate matter, especially in confined environments.
By recognizing a greater global focus on safety and environmental issues, we partnered with an Australian emissions specialist. We wanted to introduce a Kanga Loader feature for businesses that are interested in worker health and safety and the environment. This revolutionary technology removes carbon monoxide and particulate matter from the emissions of a mini loader. Kanga is the first mini loader manufacturer to introduce this new technology.
As a market leader in our industry, we sought the experts in emissions control and catalytic converters. As a result, this partnership is built and forged on the foundation of providing safer and more effective products to our customers. Since 1981, Kanga Loaders has led the industry with a focus on innovation and safety. As to why, we feel it is our moral obligation as the industry leader to educate the community. We want people to think consciously about this applied concept and realise there is no price on health.
“Just because we are in the business of making engine-powered materials handling and earthmoving machines, it doesn’t mean we are absolved of any responsibility. We want to ensure health & the environment is given the respect and prominence society demands.” says Rod Lehpamer – General Manager, Kanga Loaders Global.
Overall, Kanga won the Mayors Award for Innovation at the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards in 2014.
