Oliver & Narelle Mahboub are the lucky winners of our Diesel 6 Series Loader, which was given away at the Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo on the 4th of May this year.
Oliver is a licensed carpenter and sub-contractor for planning and supervision of excavation and demolition jobs. He also operates on jobsites himself, with excavators and skid steers from 2T up to 35T. Together with his wife Narelle, he has been running this business for many years now.
When Oliver decided to head to the Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo on the Saturday, the 4th of May, he was simply expecting a fun day out with his mates. He wasn’t looking for any machinery in particular that day and was happy just enjoying the show. “I love looking at machinery and dream about owning my own. Registering for the mega prize give-away was a quite spontaneous idea of my mates. It is not usually something I do, but it paid off!”.
Still in disbelieve, Oliver has finally received what he always wanted. “I am ecstatic to have won this amazing mini loader and still think it is surreal whenever I look at it standing in my garage. I have never owned a machine myself but always dreamed of buying one! Unfortunately, we’ve never had the budget for it. This is why just can’t believe I’ve won the Kanga Mini Loader, it is a big boost and a great asset to our business. Now we can be more versatile in terms of offering further services such as job site clean-ups, moving material on site. We are thinking about buying some more attachments to be able to increase our range of jobs to trenching and others.”
Oliver has never operated a Kanga before but reckons is it a very easy machine to handle, especially because you can step on and off easily when moving around things. He has been doing little jobs and spending some time on landscaping his own property, a project he has been working on for a while. The Kanga is coming in handy, as he is planning to redo their driveway and some retaining walls, now he won’t have to hire any machines.
“I still think it is incredible and surreal to have won that much worth of value, I am so grateful and appreciative.”
